Visual Narratives 
of Personal History 
Recording

 In my visual research, I examine the methods of capturing personal history on camera, aiming to analyze and contextualize the visual techniques found in screen arts and video diaries from the 1960s to the present day. The final outcome of this visual research is a book.

Modern personal documentary
is underexplored as both a cinematic 
and social phenomenon.  
My purpuse was to examine the similarities between
personal documentary practices of the second half of the 20th century and modern methods of recording 
personal history on camera.
